Jamie Hastings was set for a career in the UK armed forces, attending college in the evenings to complete a Public Services course. During the day, Jamie was honing his contracting skills, turning his hand to labouring and also to electrics.
Through a member of his family, Jamie was introduced to the idea of becoming an apprentice with Masterfix and was pursuaded to explore plumbing. In May 2018, Jamie started a plumbing apprenticeship through our West End office and later that summer started his NVQ Level 2 at the age of 20. Fast forward two years, and Jamie is thriving as a qualified plumber, with his own Masterfix van, and receiving glowing feedback.
